Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania has opened to good reviews from the critics.
SpotboyE.com Editor, Vickey Lalwani was all praise for the film and rated it 4 stars. He opined, “If I haven't said it all in my title, then here is exactly what I felt about the film. As the firebrand four say it often in their lines, let me also say it in context of the makers: It needs balls to make such a film. I am not a sucker for films where the F word is used, but here its usage (mind you, frequent) did not make me cringe even a wee bit. It just goes with the flow, it's required, in fact, many times you say it under your breath even before Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar or Shikha Talsani utter it.”

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, “It’s a splendid start. It is heartwarming to see that people are turning up in huge numbers for early morning shows which rarely happens. The better part is that the afternoon shows have been equally promising if not more. This suggests that it should run into packed houses by evening. This also conveys that the film has been accepted by the public in a good way.”
A leading distributor on request of anonymity said, “Veere Di Wedding is doing extremely well in plexes. It will be interesting to see how much does it amass over the weekend. The pace is good for now.”
Veere Di Wedding has got the third best opening occupancy in 2018.
